Build days 138-148

Apologies for the lack of updates on the build of Still Rockin’ - our allocation of monthly data has depleted earlier than usual this month and I’m hoping that the 1gig I’ve got left will suffice this posting!
We now have ...

 Canopies ...

Kitchen worktops and a sink ...
... oven housing and a bulkhead between the kitchen and lounge ...

... visitors, son Mark and grand kids (in every respect) Lucy and Ed!
The kitchen units now have doors ...
... and the outer doors now have locks ...

... the 6 x 2volt traction batteries (945 Ahrs) are neatly housed in their own metal box ...
... we have steps now instead of a ladder ...
... and we have radiators plumbed in.

We have some of the electrical sockets wired in ...

... and the plumbing to the shower has been installed ...

... and last but not least, we have a water pump and accumulator and a tap to the kitchen sink.
Brilliant progress in fact!

Build days 136/7

Exciting day yesterday Ian and Scott of Kinver Canopies came ...
The bow - each window has a roll-up curtain

Ian fitted ...

... the front canopy ...

... whilst work progressed in the bedroom ...

... and the kitchen.

 The bow from outside

Scott and his assistant fitted the pram hood over the stern deck ...
... and George took a delivery ...

... the bathroom sink and tap.

Looking good!
What a fantastic entertaining space!
The pram hood from the roof of Still Rockin'
The wardrobe doors have had their first coat of varnish ...
... and the bow thruster is fitted into the tube ...

... and mounted into the locker above on the bow deck.

This morning is no less exciting ...
... as work has started on the installation of the kitchen units ...
... complete with some drawers and doors.

Steve, Lambon Boats has fabricated the box for the 2v traction batteries ...

... and the shower has arrived.

End of the day ... the kitchen worktop is fitted and the sink is about to be sunk!

Build days 134, 135 and ‘no it’s not rust!'

George has asked me to point out ...
... that this is not rust, it’s Sahara dust on condensation!
Yesterday ...

... the cupboard and wardrobe doors are fully made up and will be spray varnished in the next couple of days...
...and the bathroom walls had been started.

This morning ...

... the bow doors have been lined ...

... and the rear doors are nearly there ...
... the bathroom walls are fully lined with shower wall ...

... and at the end of the day ...

... the rear doors are looking good!

Tomorrow - Ian and Scott (Kinver Canopies) are coming to fit the rear hood and bow panels - can’t wait!
