Christmas at the Palin's

(25th Dec)The table is set ...

... the tree looks spectacular

and the fairy on the top is cute

... and Christmas dinner was superb as always.

Stretching our legs with a walk through Codsall village (27th Dec)
St Nicholas Church with it's Normal door and early 13th century tower
We've not been inside before

The stained glass windows are all memorials to former parishioners

St Nich's has eight bells the earliest was cast in 1637.

The temperature was below freezing, the wind was fit to blow us off our feet as we stood at the rear of the church looking at the very bleak landscape

We walked back via the local Co-op store as it started to snow, but not for long so it didn't stick.  We were glad to get home to a roaring fire.

Thank you to our son and daughter-in-law for a lovely Christmas.
