Build days 81 and 82

We're away from the building of Still Rockin' just now, on our way to Scotland via Wolverhampton.  These pictures have been very kindly taken by Pete on behalf of Barnowl Boats ...

Wednesday ...

Stuart of Barnowl Boats is away this week too so Pete is in sole charge and has started the battening inside ...

... and Steve (Lambon Boats) has fixed on the beautiful stainless steel cleats
Thursday ...

Lambon Boats cannot keep Still Rockin' in their unit any longer as they have completed their input into her build so now she's outside ...
Here Steve is lifting the bow of Still Rockin' to remove the wheel trolley ...
... and Pete continues with the battening ... nearly ready for the spray foam now.

Not very often that type of boat has a midships cleat. Will it not get in the way of walking down the gunnel?

Means you can rope up properly of course :)

The boat will weigh in at about 32 to 35 tons when its finished, so we had the midships cleats put on to give us more options for mooring in a high wind. We also positioned them there to avoid having a centre anchor point in the middle of the roof. It will be me only who will be walking down the gunnels and, at the moment, I am still nimble enough to avoid it!! By the time I am not, I hope that it will simply be a reflex action to avoid it!! We will wait and see.
